Rivera offers several options for private events.

Each of these areas of the restaurant offer distinctive features that are unique to Rivera thereby creating a one of a kind experience for our guests and for your events.

The Sangre Room:

This Spanish themed room features the two glass walls of Tequila which house the private collection of Rivera's members only Bottles of John Sedlar's handcrafted extra Anejo Tequila. A Blood red chandelier, conquistador helmut lamps and the award winning photography of Michael Crouser from his book on Los Toros highlight this dining area. The "sangre" room has 3 booths and seating for dining of up to 40 guests or up to 60 guests for cocktail receptions. The minimum room charge and room fees for the exclusive use of the Sangre Room changes depending on the day of the week and if the event is a lunch event or a dinner event. All sales of food and beverage are applicable towards this minimum guarantee. Handicap access is available.

The Samba Lounge and Playa Bar:

Rivera's grandest venue for a cocktail reception may be found in the Samba room's eight custom-fabricated bronze-and-leather Tequila ChairsTM, brilliantly designed by Rivera partner Eddie Sotto, and adjacent to our mixology bar where guests can sip tasting flights of current seasonal tequila offerings or enjoy fantastic mixed artisanal cocktails. The burnished bronze arms of the chairs serve as tray-holders to encourage luxuriously relaxed tastings. Rivera offers passed appetizers and tapas in the playa bar allowing guests to view LA Live and Staples center while they dine on crudos, ceviches, handmade tortillas, and John Sedlars famous tamales. This area can accommodate up to 100 guests for cocktail reception

Rivera/Met Lofts Courtyard:

Perfect for events of 100 to 300 guests, Met Lofts bauhaus style courtyard is available for very special large events that can accommodate openings and wrap parties.

Restaurant Buyout:

Rivera can accommodate events as large as 175 guests for dining and cocktail reception through a restaurant buyout.
